The Cal Marching Band and Cal mascot, Oski, will entertain, leading everyone in favorite Cal songs.
Guest Speaker : Ron Rivera
We look forward to the return of Ron Rivera, General Manager of Cal Football, as our speaker. Ron will share an inside view of Cal football, with the latest news about the Bears team and Cal athletics.
A star player at Cal, Rivera was a consensus All-American linebacker and Pac-12 Co-Defensive Player of the year, setting the school record with 26.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
After graduation, Rivera played for the Chicago Bears and was a member of their 1985 Super Bowl championship team. He enjoyed a successful 27-year coaching career, at Chicago, San Diego, Carolina and Washington, twice receiving NFL Coach of the Year honors. His teams have reached the playoffs 19 times, including nine conference championships and three Super Bowls.
Rivera is known as a passionate and skilled leader who has earned the respect of his players. coaching staff and the communities where he has coached.
